I can't afford to sleep in the city where I work, so I basically live out of a car. For people like me, the idea of the tiny house is alluring. They're portable, affordable, and miniscule, and they promise to deliver the bare essentials without the extras. They're the housing equivalent of Spirit Airlines. I visited Boneyard Studios in Washington, D.C., to find out who's buying.
