Sophie Kahler is a master’s student in the Media and Strategic Communication program at the George Washington University. She is a native of Columbia, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she majored in Geography and minored in History.
Sophie is particularly interested in urban studies, cultural geography, and how people interact with the built and natural landscape. She has interned with the Smithsonian, several nonprofits, a congressional campaign, and she currently writes a weekly newsletter about South Carolina politics and current events.
